A tube light is not directly connected to the supply mains. Although it operates at 230 V, 50 Hz, some auxiliary electrical components are used to insert into the installation to support the operational principle of the tube light. A single tube light installation has total electrical components.
1.Choke: It is electromagnetic ballast or electronic ballast.
2.Starter: Small neon glow-up lamp
3.Switch on.
4.Wires.
Please make sure you take electrical safety precautions when doing any type of electrical installation.

Step by step instructions to Introduce a Solitary Cylinder Light with Electromagnetic Counterweight:
- The neutral wire from the junction box is not routed to the switchboard, but is routed from the junction box to port 2 of the tube light, as shown in the figure above. A wire already connects port 2 and pin 1 of terminal 2. Hence the neutral wire is continued from port 2 to pin 1 of terminal 2.
- The live wire or phase is carried from the junction box to the switchboard. A live wire is connected to one terminal of the switch. A wire from the other terminal of the switch is led to the tube light setup and connected to port 1.
- One terminal of the choke or ballast is connected to port 1 and the other terminal is connected to pin 1 of terminal 1.
- One end of the starter is connected to pin 2 of terminal 1 and the other end of the starter is connected to pin 2 of terminal 2.
